The Cisco Enhanced EtherSwitch Service Modules SM-ES2-24-P is the entry level router blade for the Cisco Integrated Services Routers Generation 2 (ISR2). SM-ES2-24-P has identical capacity to catalyst 2960 series switch and provides 23 FastEthernet ports and 1 Gigabit Ethernet port in LAN base feature set image with POE capability which supplies up to 15.4 Watts per port (802.3af). The Cisco Enhanced EtherSwitch Service Modules offers cost-efficiency solution to meet branch office or small to midsize business offices needs with no requiring physical room.

SM-ES2-24-P runs independently of host router resource, it has their own processors, switching engines, flash memory and own LAN Base IOS to ensure maximum concurrent switching performance.
